Hit Points, or HP, are a display of the character's 'combat stamina'. If a character's HP reaches 0 in battle, they are incapacitated. HP can be restored through recovery magic, the Talent "First Aid" Healing, Treatment and Prevention, items, food or by simply resting at an Inn. Additional ways of recovery can come in the form of Traits, namely the "Fast Healer" trait.
Increasing HP is possible through several means. The player may:
- Gain 1 maximum HP per 1 point spent in any stat.
- Gain 10 maximum HP per 1 point in Vitality.
- Gain 2 maximum HP per 1 point in Sanctity.
- Certain items, innate skills (such as Soldier's Fortitude or Ghost's Pain Tolerance), accessories and enchants may increase maximum HP for the character.
