Fear of Death is a mechanic added in the Great Reckoning Part 2 (version 1.61 LIVE).
When triggered, it causes the victim to be inflicted by a Fear status (with its standard effect) for 3 rounds. There are two ways for it to be triggered;
- Receiving damage exceeding 50% of your maximum HP in one hit.
- Taking damage while at or that bring you under 15% of your maximum HP.
The logical reasoning behind it being that someone in that position would begin to feel cornered and fearful. Entities normally immune to Fear are unaffected. Also, Fear of Death can have its duration reduced or negated entirely by the Bravery talent's Will subpath.
