Sometimes going in alone isn't the best solution, a proper Rogue knows this. You can't always trust your friends to do the job right, or go see a doctor in the middle of no where, so how does one best prepare for this? By building their own friends out of just about anything they can get their hands on.

Strengths[]

  • Technological Marvel gives a half skill slot for every engineer skill equipped so efficiently two engineer skills fit in one slot. This gives the class the ability to take a lot of niche skills to make sure they have more options in fights.
  • Grenade is a powerful autohit skill that ignores evasion. Hand trigger can be used to detonate it without waiting for the randomized cooldown!
  • Metalaegis is a great way to deflect physical attacks from you to the machine as long as you stand next to it.
  • Jetpack is a great movement skill that can take you across the battlefield quickly for one momentum.
  • Railgan can dish out massive damage if it is ignored by enemies, providing the class with a solid source of non-fire/lightning damage.
  • Numerous skills give a boost to belt items, increasing their range and the number of them available. This makes engineer a very useful support class who can use potions on allies from far away.

Drawbacks[]

  • The class suffers on focus with most of their signature skills taking 50 FP and their one momentum skills draining FP quickly as well.
  • Technological marvel is offset by the large amount of skills that are incredibly niche and won't go used in most fights. Upgrade skills provide significant bonuses to allies, but their cost and duration are usually not worth the cost of skill points invested in them unless the Engineer is a Destiny rogue.
  • Most of its gimmicks depend on Fire and Lightning damage. Enemies resistant to those will be able to defeat any Engineers quite easily.
  • Most of the bots scale off of the engineer's class level, forcing any engineer who wants to use them to their full potential to be a Destiny rogue. Cross classing is heavily penalized for Engineers.
  • The class's reliance on belt slot items can be incredibly expensive, forcing engineers to pay murai for DPS and healing that their skillset seems to encourage.
  • Bots have low base hit chance, low base movement, and low base damage. This forces most of them to be incredibly situational.
  • Railgan has no movement, low health, and can be silenced to negate all of its damage potential. You have to position carefully to get any use out of it.

Unlocking[]

Requires level 20+ Rogue Class.

  • Win a battle while you are equipped with a Wrench (can be bought from the Arena Master) on your main hand.
